Getting from the airport to Golf del Sur

Our transfer

Transfers are booked in advance: send us your flight number and the number of guests and we will give you an exact price. We meet you in the arrivals hall, help with your luggage and drive you to the door. A child seat is available on request.

If your stay is shorter than seven nights, you can still book a transfer separately: send us your flight number and we will quote a price. If your flight is delayed, we simply move the pick-up at no extra cost; just let us know the new time.

Taxi

The taxi rank is right outside the arrivals hall and the queue usually moves quickly. The ride to Golf del Sur takes about 20 minutes and costs roughly 15–20 € during the day. Night and bank holiday fares are higher.

Drivers don't always take cards, so it's worth having some cash on you. Give the address as "Albatros Park, Golf del Sur": drivers know the complex.

Car hire

The car hire desks are in the arrivals hall. A car makes sense if you plan to explore the island: Teide is an hour away, the north an hour and a half. You don't need one for day-to-day life in the area itself: shops, a pharmacy and restaurants are all within walking distance.

• Book ahead: in December, January and at Easter there are hardly any cars to be had.
• Check the fuel and deposit terms: they vary a great deal from one company to another.
• There is free parking beside the complex, and you can find a space even in high season.

Bear in mind that most car hire companies are closed at night. If your flight lands late, it's better to collect the car the next day and take a taxi or our transfer on the first evening. Flying into Tenerife North (TFN)

The island's second airport, Los Rodeos, is in the north near La Laguna. From there it is about 75 km to Golf del Sur along the TF-1 motorway, or 55–65 minutes by car. A taxi will cost around 90–110 €, so if you land in the north it makes more sense to book our transfer or hire a car: there are car hire desks at this airport too. There are no direct buses to Golf del Sur, only services with a change in Santa Cruz or Los Cristianos, and the journey takes 2–3 hours.

Bus

TITSA buses leave from the airport, but there is no direct route to Golf del Sur: you'll need to change at Las Chafiras or Los Abrigos. The journey takes about an hour. It's the cheapest option (a few euros), but with suitcases and children the saving is rarely worth it.

Arriving at night

Plenty of flights land late at night. Check-in here is self-service and possible at any hour: we open the gate remotely, the keys are waiting in a lockbox and we send you instructions the day before you arrive. If you'd like to arrive and go straight to bed, let us know in advance: we'll leave water and the essentials, and one of our two ready-made grocery sets, at a fixed price, can be waiting in the kitchen.
